SPECIALTY COURSES:

Nitrox

A well-trained and experienced diver will, sooner or later, have to cut dives short NOT because of air supply, but rather to not exceed the NDL. When diving on Enriched Air Nitrox, you breathe a blend of gases which will increase your NDL, due to a reduced Nitrogen percentage. Remember: Nitrox will not change your breathing pattern and (contrary to some beliefs) Nitrox is NOT used for deep dives!

Deep Diver

The Deep Diver specialty course will teach you different techniques you are supposed to use when going to a maximum depth of 40 metres, while still not exceeding your No Decompression Limits (NDL). The refraction of light, increased pressure and emergency procedures are some of the topics focused on in this specialty.

Wreck Diver

To penetrate and explore any wreck is a great experience! The ability to do this in a safe and accurate manner is very important, and will make the experience even more enjoyable! Learn the right way to dive a wreck and get the most fun out of your dives!

Digital Underwater Photographer

The Digital Underwater Photographer course will help make you aware of how important good buoyancy is. Good buoyancy will enable you to get into and stay in the perfect position to make that special shot. Learn how to use a white balance, red filters, flash and flash with wide angle lens. Good composition through choice of subject and subject position.

Night Diver

It can be a bit spooky for some, but with the right preparation and the proper equipment you will be able to master this extraordinary challenge. Diving at night gives you the chance to see creatures you would not get to see during the day. You will gain a totally different perspective of spots you thought you were already totally familiar with when diving in the daytime.

Search and Recovery Diver

The techniques you learn in the Search and Recovery specialty will help you to conduct a search as efficiently as possible. To recover a lost object involves certain safety issues, particularly regarding the size of the object. Choosing the correct search pattern and selecting the proper lifting device are topics in this specialty course.
